Educate the girl II

What motivates a student to take care of his studies? To hang on and strive for excellence?

I think we need to create the right conditions to motivate the girl to break into studies. For example, there should be an increased support policy for students whose parents are poor. That school infrastructure is dignified and that resources such as textbooks and books are easily accessible even to the most disadvantaged. Finally, we must celebrate merit and excellence. It’s a pity that we do not value those who stand out from the crowd. The school environment must interest the pupil and encourage him to hold on.

 I wonder on this point, if the conditions of application of the LMD at the University of Lome, which is the largest university in Togo for example, are likely to encourage girls to break into studies. Insufficient space, microphone problem, & nbsp; loss of exams, overcrowding at TDs, outdated curriculas, limited choice of courses … When I remember my former classmates who all the time said that a woman must marry and have a child before the age of complications, when I consider the weight of the society that presses the girl to put a rope around a certain age, I’m not surprised that most of my classmates drop out of university after five or six years of unsuccessful adventure.

Unfortunately, failure no longer depends solely on the insufficient work of the student. It sometimes depends on other parameters that are beyond the power of learners. Bitter and surprising but real. « I’m not stupid, but the system is delaying me ». It is the popular song in student circles. In these conditions, how not to be tempted by demotivation and abandonment? & Nbsp;

I very much hope that a day will come when all of us will realize the importance and the need for a modern and successful higher education and that we will take appropriate measures for our common good.

Happy birthday to all the girls and women of the world. « Only work frees »!
